A Respectful Challenge To Amazon.com

May 27, 2005 / by Catidogi

Normally, I am not the weepy type the writing of Our Finest Hour being an exception. It recalled the dogs in harm's way the lynch mob at the door and the three-meter drop breaking a leg in the alley. Knowing most of the animals very well, I could sense the anxiety and apprehension, as they prepared for launch.

Dewy-eyed at the posting, I stared as my blog returned to the screen with a tasteful ad for an expose of animal rights proponents. Such tracts are common to cleanse the world of vermin such as Kurds Irish Catholics Gypsies Armenians and John Kerry supporters among many other groups. Boring repetition, the ad caught me at a vulnerable moment.

It stepped on my memory of Our Finest Hour.

This will not pass, Amazon. At your request, I will mail you two e-books entitled Genesis in Harm's Way and It Is Not a Perfect World. Every purchaser of the offending volume [before 26 May 2005] can download these two novels free of charge. The reader might sense the relationship of cruelty to animals to child abuse and to the exploitation of women [unpaid sex workers].

Assuming somebody at Amazon surfs Blogster, I expect a reply to our generous offer. The books have a wider appeal dealing with the Second Coming West Bank fascism Abraham and Yitzhak. As a public service, I remind other bloggers that anyone who can torture a cat has the mind set to molest a child. Anyone who looks the other way when a dog is shot dead in the street has no gripe coming if the same perpetrator rapes his little girl. It all goes hand in hand, folks.
